Justin McMillan, General Manager of Production at Auscott Narrabri, is the latest cotton industry leader to be selected to undertake the Australian Rural Leadership Program (ARLP). Justin will participate in course 28 of the program, commencing in July 2021, with support from CRDC, Cotton Australia and Auscott Limited.

Maules Creek farmers Andrew and Heike Watson and their family recently hosted a revegetation demonstration field day at 'Merriendi'. Local farmers, residents and Landcare groups joined industry experts, researchers, and drone and tubestock specialists to share the latest revegetation methods and information.

The winter 2021 edition of CRDC's magazine, Spotlight, has just been published, with a focus on 'innovation'.

Applications are now open for the Nuffield Australian Scholarships, supported by CRDC and Cotton Australia. Each scholarship is valued at $30,000 and Nuffield Australia will award up to 20 scholarship for the 2022 year, including one supported by CRDC and Cotton Australia for the Australian cotton industry.

The 2021 cohort of the Australian Future Cotton Leaders Program came together in Armidale NSW this week for their first face-to-face meeting. The Future Cotton Leaders Program is funded by Cotton Australia and CRDC, and is aimed at emerging leaders across the cotton industry.

Last week CRDC's Board met for their first face-to-face meeting since the appointment of our new Directors in October 2020.

We are currently looking for two professionals to join our team: a Manager, Research and Development (R&D), and a CottonInfo Communications Lead.
