CRDC-supported researchers Paul Grundy, Gail Spargo and Kerry Bell of the Qld Department of Agriculture and Fisheries and Stephen Yeates of CSIRO have had their CRDC-supported research into changing the Central QLD season to reduce climate risk published in the journal Field Crops Research.

Cotton irrigation researcher Dr Alison McCarthy of the University of Southern Queensland has received the International Commission on Irrigation and Drainage (ICID) Irrigation Young Professionals WatSave Award (2021) for her work on VARIwise.

The 2022 ABARES Science and Innovation Awards for Young People in Agriculture - supported by CRDC - are now open. CRDC is encouraging young researchers aged 18-35 to apply for a grant valued at up to $22,000 to fund an innovative research project that will benefit Australia's cotton industry.
