Australian cotton growers have some new tools to guide their businesses to be as efficient and sustainable as possible.

The Australian cotton industry’s annual sustainability report outlines recent progress and longer-term trends, supported by a new sustainability website.

Strong interest in the Cotton Australia and CRDC 2026 Australian Future Cotton Leaders Program (AFCLP) has led to the largest cohort in the program’s history, following an unprecedented number of applications for the industry’s flagship leadership initiative.

The new CRDC Cotton Course is complemented by a new course developed by the Australian Cotton Shippers Association (ACSA) – offering a view of the industry from the farm gate through to fabric.

The Summer 2025–26 edition of Spotlight is out now, opening with CRDC’s 2025 Innovation Call, offering up to $50,000 to support transformative solutions for cotton’s most pressing challenges, from pest management and riparian weed control to optimising nitrogen use.
