CRDC Communications Lead
- Location: Hybrid / Flexible
- Term: Fixed-term (3 years)
CRDC works on behalf of Australia's cotton growers to invest in research, development and extension (RD&E) that delivers real‑world impact for the cotton industry, our communities and the environment.
We're seeking an experienced Communications Lead to deliver CRDC's corporate communications – what we invest in, why it matters, and the impact it delivers.
About the role
Reporting to the General Manager, Communication & Extension, this hands‑on role is responsible for CRDC's corporate communications, with a strong focus on content creation and digital channels.
You'll work with colleagues and partners to turn research, investment and impact information into clear, practical communications for growers, industry stakeholders, government and our partners.
This role is offered on a hybrid basis, with flexibility around location. Preference will be given to candidates located in/near Australia's cotton‑growing regions. Regular travel to cotton valleys is required.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver CRDC's corporate communications
- Create and publish content across website, email and social media
- Develop corporate publications, reports and digital content
- Support statutory and corporate communications
- Work closely with the CottonInfo Communications Lead to ensure alignment
- Monitor and report on communications performance
- Steward the CRDC brand and support reputation and issues management
About you
You'll bring experience delivering corporate communications in a complex organisation, with strong writing and digital skills and the ability to make complex information clear and accessible.
Experience in government, Research and Development Corporations (RDCs) or industry‑funded organisations, and familiarity with cotton, agriculture or RD&E will be highly regarded.
