CRDC's Annual Report for 2022-23 is out today, demonstrating some major developments in Australian cotton RD&E, like the five-year CRDC, GRDC and Goanna Ag collaboration WAND, a ground-breaking project that has the potential to solve the spray drift challenge. It is estimated to have a benefit-cost ratio of $12.54 to $1 – $12.54 in benefit returned to growers for every one dollar invested via CRDC.

Sensing something in the bush

The bush now has ears thanks to acoustic recorders being deployed around the Gwydir Valley. It’s part of a CRDC-supported project to quantify the importance of integrated pest management strategies and habitat connectivity in cotton landscapes.
