Commercial opportunity: partner with us to help stop problem pests

Published

Near impossible to identify and count with the naked eye, silverleaf whitefly (SLW) has increased in prevalence in the Australian cotton industry in recent years.

To make identification easier, researchers from the University of Southern Queensland (USQ), in collaboration with the Queensland Department of Agriculture and Fisheries (QLD DAF), have developed a new artificial intelligence smartphone app with funding from CRDC. This clever technology will perform pest counts and guide decision making through an in-built population model.

We are now seeking a commercial partner/s to help us make this technology available to growers and agronomists.
