Disease is a major priority issue for Australian cotton. It contributes to significant yield losses and undermines long-term confidence in growing cotton. In extreme cases, some growers have even opted out of cotton in response to severe and escalating disease pressure.
That's why CRDC has created the Australian Cotton Disease Collaboration (ACDC): a partnership with the University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ) and the Queensland Department of Primary Industries.
Together, our goal is to reduce the economic impact of current and emerging diseases.
And now we need your help!
ACDC is looking for an experienced manager with a passion for operations, project management and strategic communications to lead the Virtual National Centre at UniSQ.
Is this you? Someone you know? Help us find the right person to lead this exciting new partnership!
The Summer 2024-25 edition of Spotlight takes a deep dive into the critical role nitrogen plays on cotton farms and its impact on cotton's greenhouse gas emissions, explores exciting new spray technology from SwarmFarm and the LX Group, and delivers an update on the Australian Cotton Disease Collaboration.
