CRDC's ground-breaking research featured on ABC Landline

Published

This Sunday, CRDC's Executive Director Ian Taylor and Cotton Australia Chair and cotton grower Nigel Burnett will feature on ABC Landline, talking about the ground-breaking innovation BioClay.

BioClay is a game-changing crop protection approach developed by the University of Queensland's Qld Alliance for Agriculture and Food Innovation (QAAFI) and the Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology (AIBN) with support from CRDC, Hort Innovation and Nufarm.

It’s safe and environmentally sensitive and applicable across many crops including cotton. It essentially works like a vaccine, stimulating the plant’s immune system to fight pests and disease. For the cotton industry, it will help us manage a high priority pest: silverleaf whitefly.

It's a great story about the power of collaboration, innovation leading to real-world impact, and our commitment to world-leading sustainability. Catch it 12:30pm Sunday on ABC.
