Australia's cotton growers are generally also grain growers - so we work closely with our sister research and development (R&D) corporation, the Grains Research and Development Corporation to deliver impactful R&D.
Yesterday, CRDC's directors and senior managers met with our counterparts at GRDC, and the secretary of the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, Andrew Metcalfe AO.
On the agenda: collaboration, the major research priorities across cotton and grains, shared innovation investments (current and potential new), and sustainability.
One of our current major collaborations is the cotton and grain spray drift prevention program, WAND, with Goanna Ag: the largest single investment in CRDC's 30 year history.
