Applications open for 2021 Future Cotton Leaders Program

Published

The next generation of leaders within Australia’s cotton industry are encouraged to apply for a premier leadership program. Applications for the 2021 Australian Future Cotton Leaders Program opened today, with 15 spaces available.

The Future Cotton Leaders Program is funded by Cotton Australia and CRDC. It is for emerging leaders and is delivered every two years. The 2021 edition (originally scheduled for 2020, but postponed due to COVID-19) will be the seventh time the program has been run.

The program is best suited to people who are keen to progress their leadership skills and who are actively involved in a cotton enterprise, or related position and industry area such as cottonseed, ginning, extension, research, and consultancy.

In 2021 the program will feature face-to-face forums, interactive online discussions, one-on-one coaching and integration with industry activities. Participants will also undertake an individual project related to their area of interest, which will assist in developing their leadership skills in a real life scenario. The program will cover four stages: leadership development, individual skill application, leading change, and contributing to industry.

Applications close Friday, December 4 2020. To apply, visit: https://cottonaustralia.com.au/leadership-programs
