March, 2008

The autumn 2008 edition of CRDC’s quarterly magazine, Spotlight, focuses on the outcomes of the CRDC forum held in Moree during February and three main aims for the industry – competitive advantage is under threat, cost of production ever increasing, adaptability is key to our response to change –  with plant X and new biological agents emerging as innovative technologies.

In this edition, the industry’s capacity building initiatives and successes are also highlighted, along with a new lower-cost crop rotation system looking at wheat and vetch in rotation, and the potential for a new water saving cotton production system whilst reducing nitrogen and energy use.
