The CRDC 2013-14 Annual Report has today been tabled in Parliament, and it highlights the major achievements from cotton RD&E – led by CRDC during this year.

In 2013-14, Australian cotton growers and the Government, through CRDC, invested $22 million in research and development to benefit the Australian cotton industry, and this year marked the first year of investment under CRDC's 2013-18 Strategic R&D Plan, with investments across five core areas: farmers, industry, customers, people and performance.

Major highlights for the organisation during this year include: driving continuous improvements in the industry's water use efficiency; helping the industry's resistance management preparation for the impending release of Bollgard III® technology; and ensuring sound research underpinned major initiatives in the marketing of Australian cotton, to help us maintain and secure our critical overseas markets.
