Cotton growers review 2018-19 research proposals (21 November 2017)

The Cotton Australia research advisory panels - consisting of cotton growers from across the cotton-growing valleys - met in Sydney today to review the Full Research Proposals received by CRDC for the 2018-19 investment round.

This follows the CRDC priority setting forum held annually in May, which brings together the research advisory panel members to discuss the industry's current and future research, development and extension (RD&E) needs. From this forum, CRDC develops a series of Expression of Interest Guidelines and issues a call to the cotton research community to respond. Researchers submit Full Research Proposals in response to the EOIs, which are then considered by the panels, the CRDC R&D Managers and the CRDC Board.

The CRDC Directors will meet in February to determine which projects are successful for the 2018-19 round. The successful projects will commence in July 2018.
