The Autumn 2024 edition of Spotlight takes a look at the town of Coleambally, where growers have tackled the issue of soil variability with outcomes that are delivering a win-win solution: helping improve productivity and returning dollars to the community.

The Summer 2023-24 edition of Spotlight has a focus on Clever Cotton, collaboration and the circular economy. We take a deep dive into circularity, which is one of CRDC’s new investment areas under Clever Cotton. In particular, we look at the end-of-life management of cotton garments and fabrics and how returning them to the soil in cotton fields may be a solution to Australia’s textile waste problem.

The Spring 2023 edition of Spotlight takes a deep dive into the 2022 Sustainability Update. While the industry has made  significant gains in areas such as water use efficiency, greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions are up. As a result, this edition includes some articles on CRDC investments into R&D to help growers and post-farm gate sectors to reduce emissions.
