CRDC-supported researcher talks biodiversity with the Prime Minister (8 December 2016)

CRDC-supported ecosystems services researcher, Dr Rhiannon Smith of UNE, spoke to the Prime Minister in Armidale today during his surprise visit to the region. 

Rhiannon is a research fellow and lecturer in the School of Environmental and Rural Science at UNE, where she completed her PhD. Rhiannon chatted to the Prime Minister about her area of research - biodiversity, landscapes and ecosystem stewardship. Rhiannon is undertaking a CRDC-supported project for the cotton industry, looking at managing riparian corridors on cotton farms for multiple benefits.
